As our friend Steve said while trying to find parking, "North Carolinian's take their fair seriously." The state fair is a lot of fun and very large. It is similar to the Ohio State fair in that it is big and filled with fried food that should stop your heart as soon as the substance goes across your lips. Still, have to love fair food.
We were fortunate to have Joe, Vickie, Steve, and Pam meet us for the fair and Xander got to ride and play with his friends for the day. To make it even better, after the fair we were joined by Vicki and Paul. Just an evening to hang out and yack while kids played and fought over who's turn it was to have a toy. Oh yeah, we had wienies wrapped in bacon and cooked in brown sugar. Crissy's mom made the day for the adults. (Vicki not included)
